The busy time of year always leaves a person feeling undone. It seems as though there is so much to get done before each holiday. Food to be bought. Gifts to be wrapped. Of course, all of this happens while maintaining a job.
Sometimes it’s okay to just say “I give myself grace.” Allow yourself to step back and take inventory of what is a priority and what is on the “would love to get done” end of the spectrum. You will find that not everything is a priority. If it doesn’t follow God’s word or provide then most often it is on the opposite end of priority.
Giving ourselves grace is saying that it is okay to not get it perfect every time. Honestly, who does? There is not a single person who gets the holidays perfect. The only perfection to walk the earth was Jesus and He definitely wasn’t worried about anything other than completing His Father’s will.
What is Grace?
We commonly think of grace as an excuse to sin and mess up. Grace is the most precious thing that God could ever give us. It is the unmerited favor of receiving something we didn’t and won’t deserve. It is the ultimate gift of love to a people who are stubborn and lost.
Grace, in Christian theology, the spontaneous, unmerited gift of the divine favour in the salvation of sinners, and the divine influence operating in individuals for their regeneration and sanctification.

Amazing Grace
There is no better way to show thankfulness for grace other than worship….
Take a break and give God a few minutes of praise for the Amazing Grace that saves…
Amazing grace how sweet the sound
That saved a wretch like me
I once was lost, but now I’m found
Was blind but now I see
‘Twas grace that taught my heart to fear
And grace my fears relieved
How precious did that grace appear
The hour I first believed
Through many dangers, toils, and snares
I have already come
This grace that brought me safe thus far
And grace will lead me home
When we’ve been here ten thousand years
Bright, shining as the sun
We’ve no less days to sing God’s praise
Than when we first begun
Amazing grace how sweet the sound
That saved a wretch like me
I once was lost, but now I’m found
Was blind but now I see.
